Emanuel Bugeja claimed the Santa Marija Trap Grand Prix, an event that was organised at the Southern Shooting Club on five qualification rounds plus Final stages.
This was Bugeja's first overall win since he started competing in the Trap discipline which is not too long ago.
He was joined on the podium by Dr. James Galea and by Christopher Vella who finished in the second and in the third place respectively.
The six Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were;
Christopher Vella with the score of 109/125, Emanuel Bugeja result of 109/125, James Galea hit 108/125 targets, Dr. James Galea managed 107/125, John Marmara 107/125 and Nazzareno Attard 106/125.
The Finals results were;
1st Emanuel Bugeja 22/25 + 4/5 + 5/5 + 3/5 + 7/10, total score 41/50
2nd Dr. James Galea 22/25 + 5/5 + 5/5 + 0/5 + 8/10, total score 40/50
3rd Christopher Vella 19/25 + 5/5 + 4/5 + 2/5, total score 30/40
4th John Marmara 20/25 + 2/5 + 3/5, total score 25/35
5th James Galea 16/25 + 4/5, total score 20/30
6th Nazzareno Attard 16/25, total score 16/25
The best two Shooters from Classes A, B and C who did not make it through to the Final Stages competed in another round of 25 targets from a single shot starting from zero. George Mifsud won this challenge and he was followed by Nicholas Carabott and by Charlie Muscat.
The best Shooter in Day 1 was Mario Buhagiar while the best Shooter in Day 2 was John Marmara.
The Juniors Category was won by Mikaela Galea.
The best Veteran Shooter was John Marmara followed by Nazzareno Attard.
