The 4th Leg from the Mediterranean Horse Racing Championship was raced at the racetrack of Cagnes-sur-Mer France on Friday evening with Malta being represented by Charles Camilleri. Unfortunately the desired result was not achieved with Camilleri only managing to finish last from the five participating countries.

The first start was recalled due to an infringement by the Russian participant but Camilleri was seen taking a flying start when the race went underway even though he had number 11. As the horse leading the pack was seen to go off stride, Camilleri tried to take the lead but the mare Anna d Perre also galopped and whilst Charles Camilleri put her back in trot he was seen taking her to the back of the race. At the end the mare was seen to tire and could not be amongst the front finishers.

The race was won by the French representative Jean-Charles Feron.
