Lately I had lost all hope in anything British. Brexit has brought out the worst of their arrogance. Choosing a lying buffoon and a bigot like Boris Johnson was the last straw. Or was it?

Yesterday the real British spirit stood out. Men and women who stand to face political annihilation stood up and said: enough! Or at least they did their utmost to stop the rot, to stop the anti-democratic moves by Johnson who is doing everything to curtail all processes in his fight for survival.

Those Brits who stood up in parliament and voted according to their conscience and not their political allegiance are real heroes. If only a few of us here in Malta would follow their lead and stop the rot. By saying enough to rampant corruption and the sad overthrow of the real spirit of the rule of law.
