National coach Ray Farrugia said the he was very happy with the team's performance in Oslo even though repeating that a defeat is always a defeat. However he hailed Oslo's display as a very good tactical performance. Although

He said that the team suffered a lot in the first half, but then improved a lot in the second period. Farrugia said that although Norway had much of the ball in the first half, they only scored from two set pieces.

He said that the penalty by Nwoko was inexistent and that there was a foul for the Malta side before Nwoko's infringement. He said that the only regret he has is about the way we suffered the goals, two that he said could have easily been avoided.

Asked about choices he made in the starting line-up, Farrugia said that he has no regrets and all the players played a very good game.
