(Marsaskala won 4-3 after penalties)

(4-2), (3-5), (5-4), (1-2)

Before the season started, Marsaskala weren't amongst the favourites to win the league but not only did they won the league but ended up making the double. Dorian Pisani is the mastermind of this suċċess as he gave young Maltese players a chance while he rounded the team with two quality foreigners in Kristijan Milakovic and Konstantin Averka.

Valletta had a disappointing as they failed to confirm their Premier Division status but also failed to clinch any honour. In this game they probably had their best performance of the season against Marsaskala but fell short in penalties.

Valletta were brave enough to react after finishing the first session 4-2 down. They scored three consecutive goals to take a 5-4 lead while Marsaskala managed to finish the session 7-7.

Dorian Pisani's team recovered a two-goal deficit to take a 10-9 lead and kept a goal advantage at the end of the session after Valletta had equalised twice. Jan Culic responded to the goal by Dmitri Kholod until Peter Borg equalised from close range to take the game to penalties.

Kholod missed the first penalty and the following four penalties were all scored until Max Aquilina's shot hit the crossbar. Borg and Averka scored their penalties but the penalty by Michael Cordina hit the post. Milakovic scored the deciding penalty. After the game, Ray Debattista, Executive of BOV presented the trophy to the captain of Marsaskala Liam Grixti amongst the deserved joy of all the team.
