Motorcyclist in danger of dying after head-on collision

A 64-year-old man from Rabat, Malta was taken to Mater Dei hospital after suffering from serious injuries after a head-on collision in Triq Ghajn Tuffieha in St Paul's Bay.

According to reports, the accident took place at 11am on Saturday. A Yamaha motorbike, driven by the 64-year-old, collided with a Toyota car driven by a 59-year-old man from Imgarr.

An ambulance was called to the scene who took the man to hospital where he was confirmed to be suffering from serious injuries.

Part of the road, in the St Paul's Bay direction, was closed to traffic. The Duty Magistrate was informed of the case and an inquiry was launched.

Police investigation are ongoing.
