A motorcyclist was injured in an accident on Ghajn Tuffieha Road this morning at around 11am.

Police from the Qawra Police Station determined that a Toyota Tercel being driven by a 59-year-old man from Mgarr collided with a Yamaha motorcycle being driven by a 64-year-old man from Victoria.

The motorcyclist driver was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, where he was certified to be have been seriously injured.

A magisterial inquiry is underway and police investigations are ongoing.
