As part of a league of 5 competitions held throughout the year, on the 17th September, the Sailor Jerry Cocktail Competition was held.

This event was co-hosted by the Maltese Bartenders Guild, a non-political, non-union and a non-governmental organisation committed to enhance the bartending skills that make up an integral part of Malta's tourism industry.

5 members of InterContinental Malta Bars Team took part in this competition and won the top 5 positions. Five unique cocktails were created specifically for the night, using the finest ingredients, with Sailor Jerry as a compulsory component. 

1st Place - Zdravko Mitev | 2nd Place- Aleksa Stojnic | 3rd Place - Aleksandar Zivadinovic | 4th Place - Andi Bejkollari | 5th Place - Daniele Russo. Commenting about the win; Rodney Pisani, Food and Beverage Manager at InterContinental Malta; "I am very proud of the team participating.

All members are passionate, creative and always looking at making the most novel drinks and cocktails for our guests to experience.
