Raw footage has emerged of Luke Chetcuti, Head of the Hugo's Group, pointing out at St George's Bay saying that he wanted to take a piece of the bay, also indicating that it needs to enlarge.

Originally the footage was filmed by the crew of a French TV programme Enquête Exclusive, but raw footage has now emerged on an anonymous Rutube account.

He said that he had gone to eat with Chris, "the minister" and it is understood that he meant Chris Cardona by this statement.

The video then has a slight cut and continues: "he told me that from that point he began messaging the Tourism Minister and he told him that 'we need to help Hugos, they always help us, we need to help them and give them a piece of the bay. The other one told him 'the Bay is a bit small but that we will see what we can do to grow the bay.'"

Standards Commissioner George Hyzler recently launched an investigation into the matter.

Mizzi has reportedly denied planning to use influence to expand the bay, while Cardona said he meets business people regularly but says that "due process is always followed in all cases."
