A 34-year-old Libyan man who resides in Gozo was today charged with corrupting a minor who was under the age of 12, and committing a sexual act without her consent on 28 October in Zebbug, Gozo.

The Libyan man was also accused with being a recidivist, a police statement read.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was not granted bail.

The prosecution is being led by Inspectors Josef Gauci and John Spiteri
