MARM is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2011 to promote, advance and encourage the knowledge and use of risk management in the private and public sectors by promoting exchange of experience, knowledge and advice among its members and professional associations.

Risk Management is a growing area in Malta. MARM aims to continue to raise the profile of risk management through events, networking and education. In this respect, MARM has set up a committee on the Risk Management Profession, to provide guidance on the suitability requirements of risk managers, CPD and education. A new events committee will also provide support by focussing on organising and promoting events to fulfil such aims.

MARM, in collaboration with Deloitte Malta, will be organising an AML-focused event for all Risk Management and AML Practitioners on Wednesday 4th December 2019. Dr Rakele Cini will be speaking about the Business Risk Assessment whilst Dr. Alexander Cachia Zammit will take the participants through the revised implementing procedures of the FIAU. The event is free for MARM Members, €50 for Non-Members and €25 for students, both redeemable against a full year membership. Planned seminars for 2020 include the topics of ERM and Internal Audit, Cyber Security and Risk Awareness, Anti-Money Laundering and Reputation Risk.
