Sue Abela, Malta’s most successful bowler, delivered a strong performance at the Gibraltar Open first finishing 5^th overall, then claiming the senior ladies title, with the Queen of the Med also partnering with Rob Thurlby to win the mixed doubles.

On what proved to be very tricky conditions, Abela delivered a strong 196 average in the mixed singles to help her achieve 5^th overall, while then rolling a 203 average to win first place in the female seniors category.

The overall winner was Rob Thurlby, with Euro Legend Tore Torgersen finishing 2^nd overall and 1^st in the Male seniors.
