Shooting: Nazzareno Attard wins the NCR Trap Trophy

Nazzareno Attard won the NCR Trap competition, an event that was organised at the Malta National Shooting Ranges on two qualification rounds of twenty five clay targets each followed by the Final Stages.

Nicholas Carabott finished in second place and Brian Zammit was third overall.

The six Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were;

Nazzareno Attard with the score of 45/50 + 1 shoot-off, Matthew Grech 45/50 + 0 shoot-off, Frank Scorfna 43/50 + 9 Shoot-off, Nicholas Carabott 43/50 + 8 shoot-off, Brian Zammit 42/50 and Nicholas Schembri 41/50 + 1 shoot-off after eliminating Silvio Cassar 41/50 + 0 shoot-off.

The Finals results were;

1st Nazzareno Attard 23/25 + 4/5 + 3/5 + 5/5 + 9/10, total score 44/50

2nd Nicholas Carabott 20/25 + 5/5 + 2/5 + 3/5 + 8/10, total score 38/50

3rd Brian Zammit 18/25 + 5/5 + 3/5 + 4/5, total score 30/40

4th Frank Scorfna 18/25 + 5/5 + 1/5, total score 24/35

5th Matthew Grech 13/25 + 3/5, total score 16/30

6th Nicholas Schembri 11/25, total score 11/25

The top three Shooters in their respective classes concluded their qualifications with the following scores;

Class A

1st Nicholas Carabott 43/50

2nd Eugenio Borg 40/50 (Countback Rule)

3rd Noel Attard 40/50

 

Class B

1st Nazzareno Attard 45/50

2nd Frank Scorfna 43/50

3rd Emmanuel Ciappara 39/50

 

Class C

1st Matthew Grech 45/50

2nd Brian Zammit 42/50

3rd Nicholas Schembri 41/50
