Horse Racing: Julian Farrugia to represent Malta in Prix de Rencontres Internationales

Next Saturday Maltese harness driver Julian Farrugia will be representing Malta in the Prix de Rencontres Internationales which for the first time will be raced in the Wallonie Racetrack at Mons Belgium.

This is an international race over 2300m which will be disputed between 16 countries hailing from Slovenia, Germany, Belgium, Ukraine, Hungary, France, Ireland, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Spain, USA, Austria, Great Britain, Czech Republic and Malta.

In the past years, this race was always disputed at the Vincennes Racetrack in Paris and is combined with the awards handed out to the best French trotters racing in foreign countries. In fact, the owners of Cesar du Bouillon will be receiving this award as the best French Trotter in Malta.

Julian Farrugia has drawn number 16 Enola Penguy and the race will be at 7:00 pm.

The Chairman of the Malta Racing Club Mr Edwin Borg is accompanying Julian Farrugia.
