The Institute of Maltese Journalists has informed the Tumas Fenech Foundation for Journalism Education that it is suspending its two representatives on the Board of Trustees of the foundation.

"The IGM Council feels that, in light of the latest developments in the country, where a prominent member of the family that finances the foundations was arrested in connection with the investigations into the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, the IGM does not want to remain associated with the foundation as long as Yorgen Fenech remains shadowed due to his arrest."

The council informed the foundation of the decision and thanked it for its collaboration and work in the journalism field
