The former Prime Minister's Chief of Staff, Keith Schembri has denied leaving Malta, following rumours circulating that he had left the island, tvm.com.mt reports.

The report notes that Schembri has said that the rumours are not true, and that he is actually at his home.

Rumours have been floating around, on social media, that Schembri had left for Dubai, using a private jet, however, this appears to be hearsay.

The Malta Independent are informed that till this morning, no activity surrounded Schembri's house, and no obvious police presence was seen.
