Futsal: Two goals in the first half sealed another win for the Citizens

Luxol and Valletta increase their gap from the remaining teams in the Elite Championship, as they both added another win on their records.

Kurt Bartolo and Mohammed Lamari's goals, both scored in the first half were enough for Valletta to beat bottom side Swieqi United.

Earlier this week Luxol took over the University of Malta Futsal team, as they won 10-1. Luxol's talisman Celino Alves had a hat-trick, together with braces for Zvezdan Vukovic and Maicon Silva and a goal apiece for Mark Zammit, Marwan Telisi and Andy Mangion.

Denis Di Maio scored the sole goal for the Universitarians.

From the Amateur League Marsaskala Futsal gained three important points after beating Qormi 6-3. Luxol Team B increased their lead with a close win of 3-2 against South Boys.
