Veteran shooter Michael Galea was as happy as Larry with his overall result in the 3rd Edition of the Trap Handicap Competition which was organised at the Malta National Shooting Ranges.

This competition has become popular with many because it gives the chance to shooters with lower scoring average, therefore with a higher handicap to qualify amongst the top ranked participants when the original score is adjusted and converted to a net result after the handicap is added.

All 35 Participants shot at three rounds of twenty five clay targets each with Micheal Galea and Mikaela Galea topping the ranking list before a shoot-off for 1st place.

Nico Sciberras had to go through a six-way shoot-off to secure his 6th place overall.

The top six shooters were:

1st Micheal Galea 55/75 + 17 Handicap = 72 Points +1 shoot-off

2nd Mikaela Galea 67/75 + 5 Handicap = 72 points +0 shoot-off

3rd Christopher Vella 66/75 + 5 Handicap = 71 points

4th Nicholas Schembri 58/75 + 12 Handicap = 70 points

5th James Galea Jr. 66/75 + 3 Handicap = 69 points

6th Nico Sciberras 62/75 + 6 Handicap = 68 points +2 shoot-off

Next weekend's events will be organised on Saturday 07 and Sunday 08 December 2019, when the Malta Shooting Sport Federation will be organising the Mira Ghall-Istrina, with all proceedings to be donated to the Malta Community Chest Fund.
