The SB20 Malta Association held their first event for 2020 over the past weekend, when the SB20 fleet took part in a total of six races, three on each day.  The weekend's weather was consistent with a stable north easterly breeze and some lumpy seas throughout.

Despite being a small fleet, there was some pretty tight racing, even though "Careful Now", skippered by Barry Hurley's crew showed steady superiority on the course and registering a sound run of firsts on Saturday and Sunday. 

It was a close fight for second place between Robert Ciantar's "Seriously Bonkers" and Brian Flahive's "Outlaw" who battled it out with some impressive match racing between them and places were changing often throughout the proceedings. However, in the end it was Flahive's "Outlaw" that took the upper hand, beating Ciantar's crew with just two points.

A prize giving ceremony took place at the Royal Malta Yacht Club who welcomed all sailors for a lively social evening. This proved to be a good opportunity to bring together the ever growing SB20 community on the island.
