Malta suffered one of its most humiliating defeats yesterday as it went down 26-0 to hosts Hungary in Group C of the European Championship being held in Budapest.

This was the biggest scoreline during this year's championship. In earlier matches, Malta had lost against Spain and Turkey.

It was a disastrous performance by the Malta team which did not even score a goal.

The session scores were (0-6), (0-7), (0-8), (0-5).
