A man whose face was covered with a handkerchief made off with an undisclosed amount of cash in a hold-up on a shop in Sliema, the police said.
The hold-up took place on Monday at 9pm in Mrabat Street.
The man, who was armed with a knife, entered the shop and demanded money from the assistants – two women aged 56 and 36.
He then made off with the money.
Magistrate Caroline Farrugia Frendo is leading an inquiry.
