A man was arrested by the police in connection with two hold-ups, the police said.

The hold-ups took place in Gzira on 19 January and in Sliema the day after.

Cash was stolen in both instances, and nobody had been hurt, the police said.

The man is set to be arraigned in court on Friday.

The police said that its Violent Crimes Unit had solved a number of hold-ups that took place in the past weeks.
