Updated: Three injured in three-car crash in Fgura

Three persons were injured in a crash involving three cars in Fgura on Saturday evening, the police said.

The crash took place at 10.15pm in Zabbar Road, corner with St Peter Street.

One of the cars was a BMW, driven by a Syrian man, aged 26, who lives in Qormi, who had three other Syrian men in the car – a 24-year-old of Birkirkara, a 23-year-old from Santa Venera and a 39-year-old from Marsa.

The other two cars were a Toyota Starlet driven by a 22-year-old woman of Paola and a Renault Clio driven by a 43-year-old man of Fgura.

Two of the BMW passengers and the female driver were taken to hospital or health centre for treatment.

The woman suffered serious injuries; one of the men was given assistance at the Paola health centre while the condition of the other injured man is unknown.
