37 new esteemed colleagues were, on Friday 16 January 2020, welcomed to the UM community during the latest Orientation Day for Academics. They gathered on the Valletta Campus.

The Orientation Day provided them an opportunity to start their academic career off the right foot by learning more about the University's rich history, mission and culture, while networking with their now peers.

UM Rector, Prof Alfred J. Vella was present, auguring the new academics on their past, present and future successes.

Attendants were also treated to talks about the UM's multicultural student population, ways on how to support their teaching to support student success, and the UM's branding guidelines, among other topics.

The first orientation of this kind was held on 19 October 2018.
