Minister for Education and Employment Owen Bonnici visited the St Benedict College Birżebbuġa Primary School as part of a series of meetings with various schools and entities within the Ministry for Education and Employment.

Minister Bonnici met with the school's educators and employees, as well as with the students. The Minister said that he aims, "to learn and discover more about our education system in order to push forward the necessary advancements needed to refine the system for the benefit of our students, as well as for educators."

During the visit, Minister Bonnici was introduced to the concepts of the flexible seating classroom, the language hub classrooms and the nurture room, which is present in most primary schools. A language hub classroom is located in each college and serves as a point for students struggling with English and Maltese to learn their basics, whilst the nurture room is used in order to aid the students' emotional support.

The visit also included a meeting with the head of school and the educators of St Benedict's College Primary School Birżebbuġa.
