Francis Zammit Dimech says party unity and renewal are top of his agenda as he takes over as interim Nationalist Party general secretary.

Zammit Dimech was chosen by the party executive committee on Tuesday night to replace, temporarily, Clyde Puli, who resigned the post last week.

In a brief comment on his Facebook page, Zammit Dimech thanked the PN executive for the confidence, and said he will serve in the best interests of the party he loved and worked in since his younger days in the youth branch.

He said his priority will be unity, the involvement of young people renewal and reform, and working together to build a strong opposition.

Our country deserves better governance and institutions that function property. Only the PN can offer this, if it manages to move forward, Zammit Dimech wrote.
