Grant opportunity for students in Malta

Thursday, 13 February 2020, 14:05 Last update: about 5 years ago

Today's world is more complex than ever. Complexity means that the challenges faced need diverse teams of people working together to match them. SciCulture (ERASMUS+ funded) is a week long intensive course using a design thinking process to bring students and professionals from artistic, scientific and entrepreneurial fields together for a 5-day intensive course in Malta this April. Grant opportunities close on the 9 March.

The course has been run in Greece and Norway with mentors from leading institutions from all around Europe. Studied in every country, the course has been continuously improved. This time the course's theme is delving into the future of cities in 2030, reflecting the local issues of urban planning and access to the environment for the benefit of the economy and citizens. Course participants will use future prospecting, embodied learning, and an array of tools to creatively challenge this theme.

Course participants will be mentored to challenge themselves to develop another way of thinking and learning from others. They will gain a taster of some arts and performance skills, scientific knowledge, and the entrepreneurial mindset. However, the greatest benefit from the course is to develop the skills needed to work with a diverse array of people.

Outside of the grant, the course is also open to other participants.
