The winners for this year's edition of the SportMalta Awards l-Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali, the 60th edition of these awards, were announced during a certificate ceremony at the Maritime Museum Vittoriosa yesterday evening. The first edition was organised in 1960.

There were five finalists in each category, except in the Team of the Year where there were six finalists, as two teams received the same number of votes from the sport journalists.

All semi finalists from the eight categories received a certificate in the presence of the Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Sport and Voluntary Organisations Hon Clifton Grima, SportMalta Chairman Dr Lucjano Busuttil and Malta Sports Journalists Association President Sandro Micallef.
