A biker was seriously injured on Saturday evening when he lost control of the motorbike and crashed into a parked car, the police said.

The accident took place in Turu Colombo Street, Gzira, at 8pm.

The biker, a 55-year-old man of Sliema, lost control of the Yamaha XT400 he was riding and crashed into a parked Toyota Vitz.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
