A man was seriously injured after he fell four storeys into a field while driving a truck, the police said.

The accident happened in the limits of Cirkewwa at around 12.15pm.

The man, a 77-year-old resident of Mellieha, was driving a Toyota Dyna.

He was taken to hospital where he was certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
