Five candidates will be contesting the casual election to replace Simon Busuttil in Parliament, while another seven are aiming to take Marthese Portelli’s place. Both Nationalist MPs resigned last month.
The Electoral Commission notifies that five nominations were received until the last day allowed for nominations for a casual election for a member of parliament on the 12th district (Busuttil).
Abela Sam; Aquilina Simone; Galea Graziella; Thake David and Torpiano Edward
Seven nominations were received for the casual election on the ninth district (Portelli).
Abela Wadge Alan, Attard Previ Graziella, Bartolo Ivan, Borg Knight Roselyn, Buttigieg Albert, Muscat Noel and Selvaggi Charles
The elections will be held on Tuesday, start at 9am (12th district) and continuing at 11am (ninth district).
