An Italian couple, married for 50 years, died of Coronavirus within days of each other, Italina media report.

Alberto, 81, was diagnosed as positive to Coronavirus on 23 February. His wife Antonietta, 79, resulted positive a few days later.

Both ended up in intensive care, but neither made it. The man died on 7 March, and the woman followed 13 hours later.

“We could not reach them because they lived in a secluded zone,” their daughter said. “But we knew that if one of them died, the other would quickly follow.”
