A 79-year-old man is the second victim of Coronavirus in Malta, the government said in a statement.

The man had several medical complications, and was being treated at Karen Grech Hospital.

He was tested for Coronavirus on 6 April after he developed a fever, and resulted positive to the disease.

He died at Karen Grech Hospital last night.

The Health Ministry expressed its condolences and said people should follow Health Department appeals to protect the more vulnerable in societ.y
