Dr Joshua Ellul, Director of the University of Malta's Centre for Distributed Ledger, will be delivering a talk at the upcoming Media Arts and Design Blockchain Conference 2020, via Zoom.

The talk, titled Introducing the specifics of Ethereum to non-blockchain experts, will delve into the platform that is specifically built for creating smart contracts that has allowed for the decentralisation of software execution.

"From blockchain fundamentals to specific opportunities and challenges, the conference covers a broad range of aspects within the blockchain and cryptosphere which would serve as a great primer for anyone interested in diving in", said Dr Ellul.

A plethora of other speakers will also be participating, both as invited speakers and as speakers selected through a call for submissions. The programme, containing a full list of confirmed speakers, is accessible here.

The conference is scheduled to take place remotely on 2 and 3 May, and will be hosted by Drexel University's Department of Digital Media. The initiative is the brainchild of Alexander Pfeiffer in his function as PostDoc Fellow, together with Prof. Michael Wagner from Drexel University and Prof. Andre Thomas from TAMU.
