Maintenance work is being carried out at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, which will be ready to receive visitors by the time the airport reopens in July.

The closure of business offered the administration the opportunity to carry out work which would not have been possible if the centre had remained open.

Tourism Minister Julia Farrugia Portelli visited the centre today.
