Prof. Andrew Azzopardi has been re-elected as Dean of the Faculty for Social Wellbeing for a second term (2020-2024).

During his first term he has taken the Faculty outside of the confines of tal-Qroqq and provided another important voice making sure to point out injustice and unfairness.  He has based his work on the principles of fairness, forgiveness, empathy, social justice, diversity and inclusion.

During these last years the Faculty has seen a surge in PhD candidates, courses and students.  Apart from that the Faculty has embarked on working with a number of entities on major research projects and studies and applying scholarship to social policy outcomes.  Prof. Azzopardi has specialised in disability studies, activism and community development.
