A 49-year-old man from Mellieha was grievously injured in a construction site fall on Thursday.

The accident took place in Tumbarellu, Għaxaq, at around 1pm, the police said.

He fell from a height of around six courses.

The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

The police are investigating.
