Coronavirus: Active cases remain at five after no new cases or recoveries

The number of active cases of Coronavirus in Malta remains just five, after no new cases were found and no new recoveries were registered.

Figures released by health authorities confirmed the status quo.

It is the fourth consecutive day without any new cases of the virus.

It means that Malta has registered a total of 674 cases of the virus, out of which 660 have recovered and 9 have died.

456 swab tests were carried out on Sunday – a typically low number for a weekend – meaning that the total number of swab tests carried out so far is of 107,622.

Authorities reminded that for any queries regarding symptoms or to make an appointment at a swabbing centre, people should call 111.
