The Civil Protection Department rescued a number of ducks that fell into an abandoned well located in an animal sanctuary in the limits of Siggiewi on Monday afternoon.
The Civil Protection Department posted the rescue on their social media page. The rescuers from the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) section had to open a hole in the ceiling of the well to gain access to the underground structure. The rescuers then descended in the well and managed to rescue all the trapped ducks.
"The Civil Protection Department would like to thank the Animal Welfare Department and RMJ Horse Rescue for their assistance during the operation."
