Health authorities warn of plastic inside more Smiles ice-cream tubs

Health authorities have warned of the possibility of there being pieces of plastic inside more Smiles ice-cream tubs.

In a notice issued on Wednesday, the Environmental Health Directorate within the Superintendence of Public Health said that from additional information received from the involved company, the pictured products must not be consumed due to the possibility of the presence of pieces of plastic inside same.

The products are the Smiles Slimex products which come in the Dessert Ripple and Strawberry Ripple variations.

This applies for all products expiring up to, but not including 13 January 2022.

The Environmental Health Directorate issued an identical directive four days ago concerning other flavours of Smiles ice-cream, with a similar warning.
