Opposition Leader Adrian has told The Malta Independent that those who do not want to work with him in the party must shoulder the responsibility.

Delia has been facing calls to step down, after he lost two no-confidence votes, one by the Parliamentary Group and the other by the PN Executive Committee.

Delia on Sunday said that “there is no place in the party” for people who are not ready to work with him, and that he would be taking action in the coming days.

Asked about this while entering Parliament, and whether he will be pushing them out of the party, Delia said that if someone doesn’t want to work with you, then it is pointless trying to work with them. “There are the party structures and we will move according to the circumstances.”

Asked whether by this he means he will kick them out, he said “no, it is not a question of kicking out or not. It is a question of those wanting to work being given the space to work, and those who don’t must shoulder their responsibility.”

The dissenting MPs had called on the President to remove Delia from Opposition Leader and replace him with Therese Comodini Cachia. President Vella has said, however, that he cannot appoint an Opposition Leader who is not also the leader of the largest party in opposition.
