Man remanded in custody after pleading not guilty over Gozo stabbing

A Moroccan man was remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to stabbing a person in Gozo.

Inspector Bernard Charles Spiteri charged the man, 36, with having slightly injured the person in the incident that took place in. Triq in- Naħla, in Żebbuġ, on 19 July.

The man, who lives in Żebbuġ, was further charged with having, on 20 July, misused electronic equipment and using it to threaten another person, and of breaching the peace at the Victoria police station.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges. Magistrate Brigitte Sultana, presiding, did not grant bail.
