Seven new Coronavirus cases as active cases increase to 34

Seven new cases of Coronavirus have been found by health authorities in the last 24 hours, taking the number of active cases of the virus up to 34.

All seven cases are symptomatic, authorities said.

One of them is related to a cluster of cases related to a weekend-long hotel party, taking that cluster up to 18 cases, while two others are imported cases.

1,353 swab tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of swabs up to 122,348.

Malta has had 708 cases since the first case was found last March, and with no new recoveries registered, the number of recovered persons remains at 665. Nine people have died as a result of complications related to the virus.
