Updated - Decision-time: More than 1,300 PN councillors vote by 2pm

More than 1,300 Nationalist Party councillors had voted by 2pm on the day the PN is to make a decision about its leadership.

The council was convened to decide whether the party convention should be held to confirm or reject Adrian Delia as its leader, or to elect a leader.

On Wednesday and Friday, both early voting days, 484 and 376 councillors had voted respectively, for a total of 860 or 52.76% of the 1,630 eligible voters.

Today, by 2pm the number of voters had reached 1,317, or 80.67 per cent of the voters.

Voting closes at 4pm in Gozo and at 6pm in Malta.

The result is expected around 8.30-9pm.
