The self-confessed middleman in the Daphne Caruana Galizia murder Melvin Theuma has been released from hospital.
Theuma was admitted to hospital on 21 July after allegedly attempting to take his own life.
He was taken to hospital from his residence with urgency and operated on that same night.
He suffered wounds to his neck, chest, and wrists and was found in his bathroom after his lawyer could not get in touch with him on the eve of his cross-examination in the compilation of evidence against Yorgen Fenech, who stands accused of being complicit in the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia.
Theuma was in recent days being held in the Ear Nose and Throat ward in Mater Dei Hospital after he was released from the Intensive Therapy Unit some days prior.
