Coronavirus: 29 new cases, three linked to Mount Carmel Hospital

Twenty-nine new Coronavirus cases were registered in Malta on Monday, three of them linked to Mount Carmel Hospital.

The health authorities said that another two cases are linked tio the Pacevilecluster, five to relatives who had already tested positive while another was connected to a previously known case at work.

Contact tracing is ongoing, they said,l adding that the total number of swab tests reached 1,882 for a total of 145,267.

In all, the number of cases has now reached 1,141, with nine deaths.

There were four recoveries on Monday, whick takes the total to 693.

The number of active cases is now 440.
