Dead animals dumped in grey recycling bags on a daily basis – WasteServ

Dead animals continue to be dumped in waste recycling bags on a daily basis, Wasteserve said.

In a post on Facebook, the recycling centre Wastserv shared a graphic photo of a dead rabbit on Monday.

The national waste agency said that the dumping of dead animals in the grey recycling bags is happening on a daily basis.

The grey bags should not be used for such purposes but only for materials that can be recycled such as cardboard or plastic.

“Unfortunately, dead animals are still a daily occurrence on our recycling line through the Grey recyclables bag.”

WasteServ said that “this is wrong in so many courts. Please help us safeguard our workers and support them in the noble task they have in hand.”
