86-year-old man becomes 24th person to die with Covid-19 in Malta

An 86-year-old man has become the 24th person to die with Covid-19 in Malta.

The man tested positive on 8 September and died at Mater Dei hospital on Tuesday, the Health Ministry said.

He had underlying health conditions, it added.

He was the second Covid-19 death this week, after a 98-year-old man passed away on Monday.
