The first weekend of autumn will see a substantial drop in temperature, and beach lovers who were hoping for a last swim of the season may have to change their plans.

The Met Office is forecasting a possible thunderstorm on Thursday, when the temperature is however still to be around 30 degrees, going up to 31 on Friday.

The expected drop in temperature is set between Friday and Saturday, when it is expected to fall from 31 to 25, with strong winds forecast for both Saturday and Sunday.

Force 6-7 winds are expected on Saturday, 4-5 on Sunday.

The temperature will remain at 25 on Sunday, falling by another degree on Monday, when it is expected to be windy and rainy.
