A man was seriously injured this morning when the car he was driving crashed into parked vehicles in Zejtun, the police said.

The accident took place in Alfredo Cachia Zammit Street at 9am.

The man, aged 49 of Zabbar, lost control of the Opel Corsa he was driving and crashed into a Ford Fiesta and a Nissan Qashqai which were parked on the side of the road.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
